For me, Pano is one of Beyoğlu’s most distinctive establishments. It has a long legacy. It is a wine house where food is also accompanied in a lively and welcoming setting. The appetizers and meze are especially good and go beautifully with the wine.
I would recommend trying Pano’s own wines, especially No. 59 and No. 10. From the meze and starters, my favourites are the cheese platter, kaşar pane, and ciğer.
What I like most is the atmosphere in the entrance-level saloon. It has real character, and the décor adds to that charm. The long tables there are my favourite place to sit. There is also a dining area downstairs, but it feels more formal and lacks the same distinctive appeal.
Pano is an excellent choice if you are in a bohemian mood—or simply looking for an original place to socialise in Beyoğlu while enjoying interesting wines in a distinctive setting.
