Lech offers plenty of strong pistes, a good snow park with features for different ability levels, and lifts that are in excellent condition.
Compared with nearby St. Anton, however, the village feels distinctly more exclusive. For some visitors that will be part of the appeal; for me, it felt a little too polished. The atmosphere is unmistakably upscale, with luxury boutiques, elegant bars, and a crowd that can seem slightly formal. Still, there is a certain charm to that setting—especially if you are in the mood for champagne at an outdoor bar and a more glamorous kind of après-ski.
It is not quite my preferred style, but for a moment it can make you feel a bit like James Bond.
