Selimiye is a very cute small village. What makes it this special is its uncrowded feel. Unfortunately, it is becoming popular nowadays, so I am a bit concerned about the future progress.
Selimiye is also a very good shelter for sailors. Many of the sailors in the Hisaronu Peninsula come here to stay, especially if the wind is too strong. In the past, a couple of times I had a hard time finding a proper mooring because I was late. The good news, however, is that a few years ago, the municipality completed a very good local marina.
There are many quality restaurants on the coast. In addition, you can also find boutique hotels and pensions to stay in.
