Take the journey from Yalıkavak to Gumusluk and you’ll pass through a number of magnificent small inlets. If you are passing this road just before sunset, you will also understand why Gumusluk is really a special place. The landscape here is amazing. To be honest travelling from Yalıkavak to Gumusluk, the entire landscape is just stunning.
Downtown Gumusluk is a charming small village, filled with little shops, street vendors, and well-regarded seafood restaurants. The bay is equally appealing and, together with Golturkbuku, offers some of Bodrum’s finest scenery. It is also an excellent natural shelter for boats and yachts.
At the northern end of the bay, where the yachts anchor, there is a small beach that is now re-labelled as a public beach. When you reach the far end of this beach, you will see a trekking path. If you follow this path, you can also find other hidden small inlets and beaches on the north side.
What I like most about Gumusluk is its hidden and untouched nature. Having said that, year by year, I feel the place is becoming more and more mainstream. With this progress in mind, the possibility of unnecessary housing and construction near the area scares me more than anything.
To sum up, if you are after a quiet and peaceful holiday, you should have a look at small motels around here or anchor your yacht.
