Bodrum is one of the Mediterranean’s most vibrant coastal towns. With its narrow streets, local shops, colourful nightlife, and the well-known underwater museum inside Bodrum Castle, the town centre is very much worth exploring.
Harbour and Marina
In the harbour, you can arrange daily boat trips or longer Blue Voyage journeys on the region’s traditional wooden Gulets.
The road leading to the marina is lined with good restaurants and bars, while the marina complex itself includes a mix of popular shops and brands.
Nightlife
The narrow street running from the castle towards Halikarnas becomes especially busy in summer and forms the centre of Bodrum’s nightlife. Small bars, clubs, and restaurants sit side by side, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere.
Shopping and a Final Stroll
I would also recommend browsing the authentic shops on Atatürk Street, especially if you are interested in the famous Bodrum sandals. Follow the road a little farther and it opens out onto the public beach.
