Hotel de Buci, Paris

Hotel de Buci is a really very nice hotel. I was looking for a hotel in Saint Germain area for my latest stay. The reason for this location is I really love this area of Paris. With its shops, cafes and lively streets it is a charming place. It is also in very close proximity to many museums and major touristic attractions. Therefore it totally makes sense to choose a hotel in this area if you are in Paris for leisure.

For the hotel, I had carried out a detailed analysis and come up with few options. After all, we choosed Hotel de Buci primarily because of its excellent location, it’s boutique style and positive comments about the hotel and decent price on top of all that. However, I was still curious if the reality would meet our expectations. Coming to that, I always believe the first impression is always an important factor wherever you enter. The entrance and lobby area was relaxing. A home like décor, not cutting edge but still elegant was my firs impression. The receptionist lady was more than helpful and kind to us while making our check in.

The room was way superior than we have expected. Very comfy bed with a rather classic but cosy decor. The bathroom was large in Paris terms and it was really clean. The ipod/iphone dock-speaker was a nice touch. Besides; the windows were well spound proofed since the hotel is located just near to a very busy street full of cafes, nightclubs. Better to mention we were staying at the first floor. But of course still it was not %100 percent noise free. I had a really good sleep without any distrubance but if you are really sensitive on noise, it is probably better if you ask for a room in one of the upper floors. The only minor thing to say maybe is the room was not ready when we were taken to our room and had to wait 5 min. extra for it to be prepared. Not a big deal for me and the staff apologized for that immediately.

In general , it is a perfect choice for a short stay in Paris. I think it will be our first choice for our upcoming visit to Paris. Highly Recommended.
